Eye shadow color selections are like shoes, you can never have too many! From single shadow pots to shadow palettes, eye shadow packaging can be customized to your brand’s consumers.

If you are targeting makeup artists, a shadow palette with a wide range of colors and formulations may be their preference as they are working with clients on a daily basis. Because makeup artists go from photo shoots to makeup events, a large pallet with a variety of shades is most convenient to carry.

Palettes are also great for consumers that purchase cosmetics for personal use. It allows them to experiment and try out different color shades offered by your brand. The best palettes to choose contain a wide collection of colors, from neutrals to brighter shades in a blend of matte, shimmer and metallic finishes.

Single shadow pots are great for a brand just starting out with a few SKUs to sell individually before upgrading to palettes for their customers.

These single pots also allow brands to add new SKUs into their product line, such as exclusive seasonal colors, as well as offer popular shades from palettes that are used more often and run out faster.

Many plastic compacts and palettes can be produced with a custom color injection mold and finished with a custom color or metalized spray.  The components can be further customized with the company’s logo and any additional artwork using silk screen or hot stamp printing.

Beauty Packaging Trends from LuxePack – Monaco

There was a lot to see at this year’s LuxePack exhibition in Monaco, from the alluring beauty packaging to the engaging industry booths showcasing their packaging and design capabilities. LuxePack, the Luxury Goods Packing Exhibition, is an annual event where beauty innovators research and “shop” for eye-catching resources. As a contract manufacturing company that focuses on packaging beauty products, it was necessary to be informed of incoming trends that will be emerging in the market for the next few years.

So what are the trends that are going to highlight the beauty industry? LuxePack specialists observed four main trends that are on point with beauty, feminity and luxury.

1. 50 Shades of PINK

Nina Ricci, Mademoiselle Ricci

While pink is known for happiness, beauty innovators are captivating this hue in many     of the packaging for a more sophisticated look and to add depth to any product. One could use a varying of shades in order to further exemplify the appeal of your product.

2. Optics of Illusion

Yves Saint Laurent, Manifesto

The art of transforming one material to look like another is of true genius and it is also being employed by high-end designers in order to allow customers a certain look-see-touch experience. This Yves Saint Laurent perfume bottle adds a poignant emblem that can be an actual amethyst or just plain plastic.

3. Luxury Understated

Bvlgari, Mon Jasmin Noir

According to LuxePack observers, “overt bling is being succeeded by controlled bling”. Which is to say that being a luxurioous brand does not mean you have to engrave a diamond into every space on your container. One dominant emblem of luxury is all that is needed and craved for further developments.

4.Be Informative

Khiel’s Intensive Treatment and Moisturizer

Products’ ingredient listings are now being found on the front of packaging as a decorative approach to packaging. Another added benefit is to educate consumers about product specs and to reinforce ingredient capabilities.
